Planning a house clearance? Start here.

Whether you’re managing a family home, ending a tenancy or getting a property ready to sell, a little preparation makes the clearance easier.

1. Put the things you’re keeping to one side

Check for documents, photographs and sentimental belongings before the team arrives. Clearly identify rooms, cupboards or individual items that must stay.

2. Show us the whole job

Tell us about lofts, cellars, garages, sheds and outdoor areas as well as the main rooms. Photos, a walkaround video link or a site visit can help establish the full scope.

3. Explain the access

Let us know about stairs, parking, narrow doors and long carrying distances. If you have a completion date or tenancy deadline, mention it when you enquire.

4. Discuss items with resale value

Some suitable items may have resale value that can be offset against the clearance cost. We assess items individually rather than assuming everything will sell.

5. Agree what happens next

Before booking, confirm the contents to be removed, the agreed price, the timing and any items that need separate handling. If the property is being cleared after a bereavement, tell us what pace and arrangements work for you.
